A falling block, falling sand game; now featuring the nation of Finland. Use quick thinking and the power of chemistry to clear lines and avoid reaching the top! Known variously through development as "Noitris", "Powdertoytris", "Chemistris", and "Elementris".

Made in 8 days (I was late) for the Godot Wild Jam 95, for which the theme was "Retro". This was my first ever jam, so I hope you enjoy!

Controls:

A/Left arrow: move left
D/Right arrow: move right
Shift + direction: move piece slightly
S/Down arrow: soft drop
Space: hard drop
W/Up arrow/Z: rotate left (counterclockwise)
X: rotate right (clockwise)
C: hold piece
Esc: Pause

Additional Stuff:

If your frame rate is choppy or the game is just moving too fast for you, you can change the physics update time in the options menu. It goes up to 100, but you probably want to keep it under 40. The exe version may run more smoothly than the web one as well.

The vast majority of sounds are from SubspaceAudio and the music is based on an arrangement of Ievan Polkka by Boltzkin. Sorry I ran out of space in the credits!
